SCHLOSS DENNENLOHE an exquisite eighteenth century house in the heart of the rolling Bavarian countryside. It offers audience members, guests and artists exceptional accommodation and the opportunity to perform, learn about or hear music in a unique and charming setting. Its beautifully cultivated gardens and parkland set beside a magnificent lake offer wonderful opportunities for relaxation and are a haven for wildlife. We are able to offer accommodation in the house for parties of up to 20 people and associated guesthouses and hotels which can sleep another 90.
COLESBOURNE PARK which offers the beauty of a celebrated English country house garden. Set on the slopes of the Cerne Valley between Cheltenham and Cirencester, the gardens with their walks and small church provide a lovely setting for pre-performance picnics or a catered dinner on the terrace before a performance in the splendid courtyard.
The nearby Colesbourne Inn is one of the Cotswolds’ most welcoming hotels with superb food and accommodation.
GROVE HOUSE is a handsome fourteenth century house looking towards the Malvern Hills. A converted galleried barn is used as a recital and supper room. The 13 acres of gardens with their lawns, terraces and ponds are used for picnics and pre-concert drinks. Superb catered suppers can be provided by prior arrangement. SCHEGGINO A beautiful riverside village in the Valnerina in Umbria, centre of courses and events run by Hand Made Opera, also offered by ESH as a venue for your trip. The nearby Abbazzia di San Felice e Mauro at Castel San Felice offers comfortable accommodation and rehearsal/performance space all under one roof, and there are also delightful apartments around the village. Nearby churches and courtyards make ideal performance venues and welcome musicians.
