Its beautifully cultivated gardens and parkland set beside a magnificent lake offer wonderful opportunities for relaxation and are a haven for wildlife. We are able to offer accommodation in the house for parties of up to 20 people and associated guesthouses and hotels which can sleep another 90.
SCHEGGINO A beautiful riverside village in the Valnerina in Umbria, centre of courses and events run by Hand Made Opera, also offered by ESH as a venue for your trip. The nearby Abbazzia di San Felice e Mauro at Castel San Felice offers comfortable accommodation and rehearsal/performance space all under one roof, and there are also delightful apartments around the village. Nearby churches and courtyards make ideal performance venues and welcome musicians.
The Old Royal Naval Academy at Greenwich is a tremendously flexible London Corporate or Private Party Venue for ESH. With superb facilities for concerts, lectures, workshops, dining, team building activities and meetings (large or small) amongst some of the most wonderful architecture in the country. Indeed, the Painted Hall is one of the finest dining halls in the Western world; decorated with stunning paintings by James Thornhill with a ceiling showing in allegory the triumph of Peace and Liberty over Tyranny and is the central part of the King William Court. Sir Christopher Wren submitted the designs in 1698; the roof being completed within a staggering 5 years but with the decoration taking another 19 in total. It has been a state building of great note and is where Lord Nelson was brought to lay in state in 1806 after being killed at the battle of Trafalgar. It has also housed the collection which subsequently became the contents of the National Maritime Museum and has been the Dining Hall of the Admiralty exclusively until 1998. ESH also can provide the interior rooms of the King Edward for Morning Coffee/Lunch/Afternoon Tea (which can be set up and decorated with round tables for meal times) as well as the St Mary Undercroft Reception Hall &/or King William Dining Rooms, which we propose for the evening dinners, concerts and dances / balls. The gardens and grounds along the Thames are breathtaking and ideal for receptions or outdoor activities, while there is plenty of space inside if weather demands. Accommodation if needed is arranged within walking distance in 3/4/5 star hotels according to budgets and to alleviate the need for transport after late nights!
